News: Man missing after falling off personal watercraft at Miami-Dade lake
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A man went missing after falling off a personal watercraft in West Miami-Dade Tuesday night, according to WSVN.
The accident happened at a lake off the Dolphin Expressway near Northwest 25th Street. Police said the man was among a group riding personal watercrafts when he fell off at about 7:30 p.m. and did not resurface.
Divers with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue entered the water and searched for the man late into the night but the efforts were unsuccessful, and the search was paused as of Wednesday morning.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said the search was now being considered a recovery mission instead of a rescue mission.
