News: Man arrested after crash that injured North Miami security worker
NORTH MIAMI, FL – Police say they have made an arrest following a crash that left a man injured outside a North Miami lounge Saturday morning.
WPLG reports the suspect is 26-year-old Luis Iraheta, who has been charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
The incident happened near the Arena Grill and Lounge in the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and 119th Street. Police said Iraheta was driving a Lamborghini SUV when he struck Abraham Valdez, a security worker at the lounge. Iraheta’s car hit another vehicle while he was allegedly trying to get away, according to the report. Cellphone video showed Iraheta and another man being pulled out of the car by police.
Valdez was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
