News: Lanes blocked on Florida’s Turnpike following Palm Beach County accident
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed in an accident that shut down a stretch of Florida’s Turnpike Monday night.
According to WPTV, the male victim was struck by a vehicle at the 109 mile marker of the turnpike south of PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
All northbound lanes of the turnpike were shut down near the crash scene, and traffic was diverted off the exit at Beeline Highway. Investigators are trying to determine what led to the incident.
