News: Infant killed in 2-car crash on Florida Turnpike in SW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said an infant was killed in a car crash in southwest Miami-Dade County early Sunday morning.
According to WPLG, the incident took place on the Florida Turnpike near Quail Roost Drive at about 3:15 am.
The FHP said the driver of a Toyota sedan hit the back of a Ford sedan as both vehicles were headed north on the Turnpike.
Four people who were in the Toyota were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital. A three-month-old who had been in the back seat was pronounced dead. No details were released on the conditions of the others in the vehicle.
The man who was driving the Ford was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.
