News: Fatal accident shuts down stretch of Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise
SUNRISE, FL – State troopers were at the scene of a fatal crash that shut down a portion of the Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise Thursday evening.
According to WSVN, four vehicles were involved in the accident that occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. One person was pronounced dead at the scene after being ejected from one of the vehicles. There were no reports of anyone else injured.
The Florida Highway Patrol closed the northbound lanes of the Sawgrass Expressway in the area of the wreck, and traffic was being diverted onto Sunrise Boulevard. The lanes reopened to traffic later in the evening.
