News: Fatal crash shuts down southbound lanes on Florida’s Turnpike
BOYNTON BEACH, FL – A fatal crash shut down lanes on Florida’s Turnpike in Boynton Beach Thursday morning, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
The accident happened near mile marker 84 between Boynton Beach Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue. It involved two cars and a semi-truck, and left the front end of the semi-truck partially submerged in a canal, with the vehicle’s back end winding up on a guardrail.
At least one person died in the wreck, but no details were released on the victim’s identity.
The turnpike’s southbound lanes were shut down in the area of the crash, and drivers were advised to detour using the exit for Boynton Beach Boulevard.
