News: Elderly woman struck and killed by bus while crossing road in Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL – An elderly woman was killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday in Boca Raton, WPTV reports.
The victim, 94-year-old Shirley Goldberg of Boca Raton, was hit by a bus on Glades Road at 12:23 p.m. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, she was walking across Glades Road in the crosswalk when she was struck by a bus that had exited a Publix Plaza and was making a turn.
Goldberg was pronounced dead after being taken to Delray Beach Medical Center.
The bus driver was not injured. He was identified as 57-year-old Steffon Monroe of Lake Worth.
