News: Elderly woman dies following collision at Boynton Beach intersection
BOYNTON BEACH, FL – An elderly woman died of injuries suffered in a car accident in Palm Beach County last month.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the victim was 94-year-old Jean Saltzman Maltz of Delray Beach, who passed away at an area hospital.
Maltz was a passenger in a Toyota Camry that was involved in the wreck Aug. 27 in the area of South Military Trail and Pipers Glen Boulevard in Boynton Beach.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of a Ford F-150 pickup went through a red light at South Military Trail and crashed into the Camry, which was driven by 73-year-old Delores Francis of Coral Springs.
The driver of the pickup, 34-year-old Elaine Martins of Coconut Springs, was not injured. Francis sustained minor injuries.
So far there have been no charges as the sheriff’s office continues its investigation into the crash.
