News: Elderly driver killed in collision at Palm Beach County intersection
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – An elderly driver was killed when his car was involved in a collision at an intersection in Palm Beach County Thursday morning.
WPEC reports the victim was identified as 77-year-old Jerome Goldman of Wellington. He was driving in the area of Greenview Shores Boulevard and Chatsworth Village Drive when the accident occurred at about 10 a.m.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said Goldman was making a left turn when his vehicle was struck by a Mercedes driven by a 17-year-old that entered the intersection at a high rate of speed.
Goldman sustained fatal injuries in the wreck, while the teen driver was airlifted to a hospital. No details were provided on the teen’s condition.
