News: Elderly driver crashes into post office building in Coconut Creek
COCONUT CREEK, FL – Police and emergency units responded to the scene of a car accident at a post office in Coconut Creek Sunday morning.
According to WSVN, a 92-year-old man was driving a minivan when he slammed into the front of the building in the area of West Hillsboro Boulevard and Lyons Road shortly after 9:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported, though there was some damage to the post office and the vehicle. Investigators looking into the accident said it happened when the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.
