News: Dump truck and tractor-trailer collide in Hialeah Gardens, injuring driver
HIALEAH GARDENS, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a truck driver was injured in a crash with another vehicle in Hialeah Gardens Thursday, reports WPLG.
The FHP said a tractor-trailer driver was headed south on West Okeechobee Road at about 3 p.m. and tried to make a left turn onto Northwest 138th Street. The semi entered the path of a dump truck, which hit the tractor-trailer and then struck a concrete barrier.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was flown to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital and was listed in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
Okeechobee Road was shut down in both directions while crews cleaned an oil spill that resulted from the accident.
