News: Driver trying to flee traffic stop hits car of Miami police officer
MIAMI, FL – Authorities say a driver trying to flee from a traffic stop hit the car of a Miami police officer Friday night, according to WSVN.
The incident happened as the officer attempted to pull over the driver in the area of NE 2nd Avenue and NE 79th Street. The person struck the police cruiser while trying to get away and the officer sustained minor injuries.
The driver sped away onto Interstate 95, and Miami police contacted the Florida Highway Patrol for assistance in tracking the person down.
