News: Driver takes off after ramming police car on Palmetto Expressway
PINECREST, FL – Authorities were trying to track down a driver who left the scene after hitting a police vehicle in Miami-Dade County on Thursday.
According to WSVN, the driver took off after ramming a cruiser on the Palmetto Expressway. The vehicle was found abandoned in the vicinity of Southwest 104th Street and 69th Avenue.
Miam-Dade Police and K-9s were focusing their search in the yards of homes in the Pinecrest area but were unable to track down the driver.
The police officer who was in the car that was hit was not injured.
