WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Police are searching for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash in West Palm Beach that injured a young boy.
WPTV reports the victim was a 4-year-old who was struck Sunday night in the eastbound lanes of Okeechobee Boulevard near Rosemary Avenue shortly after 8 p.m.
The boy was walking with his father and three other children when he was hit by a white four-door sedan that witnesses said was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver took off after the collision without stopping to help, police said.
The victim was critically injured and was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center.
