News: Driver, passenger hospitalized after car crashes into tractor-trailer in Miami
MIAMI, FL – An accident in Miami involving a car and a tractor-trailer left two people hospitalized Monday night, WPLG reports.
Officials said a Lamborghini struck the back of a tractor-trailer in the vicinity of Southwest 8th Street and Southwest 4th Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. The car then became stuck underneath the truck.
The Miami Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team used a towing device to pull out the car. The driver was able to escape the vehicle, but a passenger was trapped inside.
The rescue team managed to extricate the passenger, who was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center along with the driver. Both were listed in stable condition.
