News: Driver killed in hit-and-run collision in Miami-Dade neighborhood
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A driver left the scene after a fatal collision in northwest Miami-Dade County Wednesday morning, reports WPLG.
The accident happened in the vicinity of Northwest 14th Avenue and 77th Terrace in the Gladeview neighborhood. The impact of the crash sent one of the vehicles, a Hyundai sedan, into a chain-link fence in front of a home. The driver of that car was killed and was identified by family members as 40-year-old Edward Durden.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Kia SUV, ran away after the collision and is now being sought by police.
Durden’s family planned to honor him with a candlelight vigil Wednesday evening.
