News: Driver killed in collision outside Walmart in Royal Palm Beach
ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL – A driver died after a collision outside a store parking lot in Palm Beach County Tuesday morning, WPEC reports.
The incident occurred near the entrance to a Walmart store on Belvedere Road near U.S. 441 in Royal Palm Beach at about 8 a.m.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Tavian O’Brien was driving east on Belvedere Road while another driver was headed west. When the other driver turned into the Walmart parking lot, investigators say O’Brien switched lanes, sped up to pass another vehicle, and crashed into the car that was turning into the lot.
O’Brien, a Royal Palm Beach resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
