News: Driver killed, 2 passengers hurt when SUV hits tractor-trailer on U.S. 27
WESTON, FL – One person died and two others were injured after their SUV slammed into a tractor-trailer in Weston Tuesday morning.
According to the Palm Beach Post, a 67-year-old man was driving the SUV on an exit ramp from Interstate 75 to U.S. 27 when the accident occurred at about 7:25 a.m. The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver was trying to cross all the traffic lanes when the SUV hit the side of a tractor-trailer going north on U.S. 27.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale. An 88-year-old male passenger was seriously injured while an 88-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries. All were residents of Palm Beach Gardens.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was a 58-year-old Miami man.
