News: Driver in custody following crash involving school bus in Broward County
BROWARD COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said it apprehended a driver following a multi-vehicle accident involving a school bus, reports NBC Miami.
The FHP said the man was seen driving a Honda recklessly on Interstate 95 near Stirling Road Thursday morning. At about 10:30 a.m., the Honda struck a Dodge Ram, causing the Dodge to hit a Ford Fusion.
The driver then lost control of the Honda and collided with a school bus with 38 children on board. No one was injured.
State troopers said the Honda rolled over after the collision and the driver left the scene on foot, leaving behind a woman and two children who were passengers.
The driver was taken into custody after walking south on I-95.
