News: Driver facing DUI charge following multi-vehicle crash in Boynton Beach
BOYNTON BEACH, FL – Authorities say a suspected drunk driver was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 last week, reports Boca News Now.
According to an arrest report, 28-year-old Jenni Lee Sweeney of Boca Raton was booked on a DUI charge following the incident last Thursday. The Florida Highway Patrol said Sweeney was driving on I-95 when she swerved in the area of Woolbright Road and struck one vehicle, which then hit another vehicle.
A state trooper investigating the crash reported noticing indications that Sweeney had consumed alcohol. No information has been released on whether anyone was injured in the incident.
Sweeney was released on her own recognizance after being booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and will be arraigned on the charge next month.
