News: Driver dies following rollover car accident on I-95 north
FORT PIERCE, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver was killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 95 in Martin County Saturday night.
According to WPTV, the accident happened on I-95 north near mile marker 93 shortly before 11:30 p.m. State troopers said a man driving a sedan drove off the interstate and went onto a grass median, where the vehicle struck two traffic signs and then overturned.
The driver, a 26-year-old man from Fort Pierce, was thrown from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released.
The victim was not wearing a seat belt at the time, according to the FHP. An investigation is continuing into the cause of the accident.
