News: Driver arrested after passenger killed in Miami Beach car accident
MIAMI BEACH, FL – Police were on the scene of a deadly crash involving three vehicles in Miami Beach early Monday morning, WPLG reports.
The incident happened in the area of Alton Road and 27th Street at about 12:15 a.m. According to police, 38-year-old Brian Williams was driving a Ford Mustang behind a Porsche at more than twice the speed limit.
Williams was unable to negotiate a curve in the roadway and struck the Porsche. The Mustang then jumped a curb and hit two trees, while the impact caused the Porsche to hit a parked Audi.
Two female passengers in Williams’ car were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital. One of them, identified as Desire Walker, was pronounced dead of her injuries.
Williams, a resident of Oakland, California, was arrested on several charges including vehicular homicide and reckless driving.
