News: Crash on I-95 in West Palm Beach kills 19-year-old driver
WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A young woman died after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed on Interstate 95 Tuesday night, WPTV reports.
The accident happened on I-95 south near Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach at about 7:30 p.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 19-year-old driver was in the inside center lane when she crashed into a concrete barrier wall. The vehicle overturned multiple times and the driver was ejected.
She was pronounced dead the following day at St. Mary’s Medical Center. The victim, whose name was not immediately released. was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
All southbound lanes of I-95 were shut down as troopers and emergency crews responded to the scene. The FHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
