News: Crash involving truck and motorcycle on Florida’s Turnpike injures 2
HIALEAH, FL – Authorities said a truck and a motorcycle were involved in a crash on Florida’s Turnpike Thursday morning, leaving two people hospitalized.
WSVN reports the accident happened on the turnpike’s southbound lanes near Northwest 170th Street in Hialeah at about 11 a.m. The man operating the motorcycle and his female passenger were both thrown from the bike and landed on the roadway.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded along with state troopers, and the two victims were airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Their injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening.
All lanes were blocked on the turnpike near the crash scene, and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
