News: Car slams into power pole in Fort Lauderdale after police pursuit
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – A car slammed into a power pole in Fort Lauderdale following a police chase on Thursday, according to WSVN.
The incident began when police set out in pursuit of a Buick sedan suspected of being linked to a carjacking in Pompano Beach.
After a chase that went through portions of Broward County, the driver eventually struck a pole in the vicinity of Northwest 15th Terrace and Sixth Avenue.
One person was arrested after the collision. No injuries were reported. Florida Power & Light crews were called to the scene to assess the damage to the pole.
