News: Car plows into day care facility on West Broward Boulevard in Lauderhill
LAUDERHILL, FL – A driver lost control of a car and crashed into a day care facility in Lauderhill, WPLG reports.
Police responded to the scene Friday at the New Beginnings Christian Academy on West Broward Boulevard.
Witnesses were quoted as saying they believed two cars may have been drag racing and were swerving while going down the street. One of the vehicles struck a palm tree, hit a fence and then crashed into a storage area for the day care center.
There was no one in the building at the time of the accident. The driver of the car involved was thrown from the vehicle and sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The driver was treated at Broward Health Medical Center.
