News: Out-of-control car slams into home on Miramar Parkway
MIRAMAR, FL – Police said an out-of-control car slammed into the front of a home in Miramar Friday morning, leaving the driver hospitalized.
WPLG reports a woman driving a Chevrolet Cobalt crashed in the 6600 block of Miramar Parkway near 66th Avenue at about 2 a.m. The homeowner, who said he was asleep at the time, said his parents sustained minor injuries in the incident. The driver suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and she was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.
Investigators believe speed was a contributing factor in the accident.
Another driver was arrested after nearly crashing into the back of a police car investigating the initial incident. A third car did hit one of the police vehicles parked at the scene.
