News: Car found matching description in Miami hit-and-run that killed teen
MIAMI, FL – Police disclosed new developments in their investigation of a hit-and-run crash that killed a Miami teenager last weekend, NBC Miami reports.
Police said a car was located that matched the description of the vehicle that was sought in connection with the death of the 16-year-old. Investigators believe she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in the area of the 79th Street Causeway. Her body was found Sunday night following a search, after she had gone out for a jog the previous day.
The sedan that was found near the scene had a cracked windshield and dents on the passenger side. Police said the car’s owner had been questioned, but so far there have been no arrests in the case. Lab tests were being conducted on evidence taken from the car.
