News: Car crashes into Lauderhill bus stop, killing driver
LAUDERHILL, FL – A driver died after two vehicles collided in Broward County early Monday morning, WPLG reports.
Police responded to the crash scene at Northwest 16th Street and North State Road 7 in Lauderhill after the incident was reported at about 1:30 a.m.
Lauderhill police detectives said a BMW that was believed to have been speeding on State Road 7 crashed into a Mercedes-Benz attempting to make a left-hand turn.
The impact of the collision sent the BMW into a nearby bus stop. The driver of the car was pronounced dead of his injuries at Broward Health Medical Center.
The driver of the Mercedes was not hurt. The area was shut down for the investigation into the incident, and motorists were advised to use Northwest 31st Avenue.
