News: Car crash on I-95 in Dania Beach leaves 2 dead, 2 injured
DANIA BEACH, FL – A car accident in Dania Beach Sunday morning left two people dead, WSVN reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a driver lost control of a car on I-95 north near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at about 6:15 a.m.
The car then collided with a barricade near a road work area, and two people were thrown from the vehicle. Those two victims, whose names were not released, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were transported to area hospitals, one of them with injuries that were described as life-threatening.
The FHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the wreck, which caused the closure of the I-95 northbound lanes near Griffin Road.
