News: Car accident in Dania Beach leaves 1 dead, 2 injured
DANIA BEACH, FL – A single-vehicle accident in Dania Beach on Monday killed the driver and left two people hospitalized, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said a man was driving a Jaguar in the 2200 block of Griffin Road when he lost control of the vehicle, went across a sidewalk and crashed into a concrete pole, causing the car to catch fire.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Bystanders managed to pull a woman and a young girl from the burning vehicle, and both were taken to Broward General Hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office are investigating the cause of the crash.
