News: Broward County woman dies in Boca Raton motorcycle accident
BOCA RATON, FL – A woman was killed when her motorcycle was involved in a collision with an SUV in Boca Raton on Sunday, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The incident happened in the vicinity of Powerline Road and Southwest 18th Street at about 1:45 p.m. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the driver of a Volkswagen Tiguan was about to make a turn onto Southwest 18th Street when two motorcycles approached the intersection.
One of the motorcycles, a Suzuki GSX operated by 27-year-old Kristina Spadavecchia, struck the passenger side of the SUV and she was thrown to the road.
Spadavecchia, a resident of Lighthouse Point, was transported to Delray Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The other motorcyclist was able to avoid hitting the SUV.
There was no immediate word on whether any charges would be filed in the crash.
