News: Pedestrian fatally struck by Brightline train in Pompano Beach
POMPANO BEACH, FL – A pedestrian died in a railroad accident in Broward County Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to WPLG, the incident took place in the area of Copans Road and Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said it received reports of a person struck by a train at about 4:20 p.m. Investigators responded to the scene and found one person dead. The victim’s identity was not released.
Homicide detectives with the sheriff’s office are investigating the fatal incident.
