News: Boater missing after vessel capsizes off Boca Raton coast
BOCA RATON, FL – The Coast Guard was conducting a search for a missing boater from Broward County following an accident on Friday night, WPBF reported.
Officials said a boat with six people on board capsized about a mile and a half north of the Boca Raton Inlet at about 11:30 p.m. Five of the boaters were rescued by a good Samaritan, but the sixth, identified as 67-year-old Wonny Kerr, could not be located.
Over the weekend, Coast Guard crews were searching in the waters off Boca Raton for Kerr, who was said to have been wearing a yellow rain jacket.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was asked to contact the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Miami Command Center.
