News: Boat hits Intercoastal Waterway channel marker, injuring 2
MIAMI, FL – A boat accident on the Intercoastal Waterway late Friday night left two people injured, reports CBS Miami.
Authorities say a 30-foot boat hit a channel marker south of the Broad Causeway Bridge at about 11 p.m. Four people were on board the vessel at the time.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported two people as trauma alerts who were taken to Aventura Hospital. No information was released on the severity of their injuries.
The boat was reported to have serious damage.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is looking into the cause of the accident.
