News: Bicyclist struck, killed by hit-and-run driver in Miami
MIAMI, FL – Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a bicyclist in Miami late Wednesday night, WSVN reports.
The accident happened in the area of Northeast 2nd Avenue and Northeast 84th Street, where the 27-year-old bicycle rider was hit by two vehicles at about 11 p.m.
Police said the first driver who hit him left the scene of the crash while the second driver remained at the scene. One person was detained in the incident.
The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was reportedly an employee at a food court who had just left work for the night at the time he was struck.
