News: Bicycle rider killed in collision with transit bus in Broward County
PLANTATION, FL – A crash in Broward County Thursday night killed a man riding a bicycle, according to NBC Miami.
Police responded to the area of SW 84th Avenue and Broward Boulevard in Plantation after the accident was reported sometime before 7:20 p.m.
Police said the bicyclist was struck by a Broward County Transit bus that was making a right turn onto Broward Boulevard.
The victim was not immediately identified but was said to be a man who appeared in his 20s.
The area was shut down to traffic while police investigated, but the westbound lanes of Broward Boulevard had reopened by 11:30 p.m.
