News: Accident at Broward County carnival sends worker to hospital
DAVIE, FL – An accident at a carnival in Broward County on Wednesday sent a worker to the hospital, WPLG reports.
The worker was helping to set up rides for the St. David Catholic Church Carnival in Davie. The Archdiocese of Miami said he was halfway up on a crane ride called the Skyscreamer when another carnival worker pushed the wrong button. A piece of equipment dropped on the victim’s arm and caused him to fall to the ground.
Davie Fire Rescue crews took the worker to an area hospital, but he was not reported to have been seriously injured.
