News: 64-year-old bicycle rider fatally struck by car in northwest Miami
MIAMI, FL – Police said a bicycle rider died following an accident in northwest Miami early Saturday morning.
The victim, age 64, was riding near the 5900 block of Northwest 12th Avenue and was hit by a car at about 6 a.m., according to NBC Miami.
The bicyclist was found at the scene by responding Miami police officers. The person was pronounced dead after being taken to Ryder Trauma Center.
Investigators said the driver of the car stayed at the scene after the crash and there was no immediate word on whether any charges would be filed.
