News: 6-year-old boy struck and killed by car in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, FL – The Broward Sheriff’s Office and Hollywood police were at the scene of a crash that killed a young boy Monday evening.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports the 6-year-old victim was struck by a car on Freedom Street near Chester Byrd Park in Hollywood at about 7 p.m. He was pronounced dead after being transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
Police said the driver of the car involved remained at the scene. No criminal charges will apparently be filed in the case, which remains under investigation.
