News: 6 rescued by Coast Guard following boat collision in Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The U.S. Coast Guard and local rescue squads responded to the scene of a boat accident in Fort Lauderdale Saturday night, reports the Boca Post.
Authorities said the operator of a recreational vessel lost control after going through the prop wash of a tug boat at about 7 p.m. The recreational vessel collided with another boat.
Six people were rescued by the Coast Guard along with rescue crews from Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Minor injuries were reported.
