News: 4 students struck by vehicle in Royal Palm Beach while waiting for school bus
ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL – Four students were injured after being struck by a vehicle in Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday morning, WPEC reports.
The driver involved is believed to have been impaired at the time, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the driver lost control of their vehicle while headed north on Crestwood Boulevard near Cypress Lake Drive at about 7 a.m. The vehicle went up onto a sidewalk and hit the four students as they waited for their school bus.
The four were hospitalized, and one was reported to have been critically injured.
It was not yet clear whether drugs or alcohol were the reason for the driver’s impairment.
