News: 3-year-old child fatally struck by car at Homestead apartment complex
HOMESTEAD, FL – Authorities said an accident at a Homestead apartment complex Sunday night left a 3-year-old child dead.
WPLG reported the child was struck by a car at the Monterey Pointe gated community in the 1400 block of East Mowry Drive at about 9:30 p.m. Police said the crash happened when the child wandered away from their caretaker, who was unloading groceries.
The victim was declared dead at the scene. No arrests were immediately made in the case, which authorities labeled as an accident.
