News: 2 people rescued from Biscayne Bay after boat capsizes
BISCAYNE BAY, FL – Emergency crews responded to Biscayne Bay Thursday morning after a boat accident that sent two people into the water.
WPLG reports the two were on a 17-foot boat that was reported capsized at about 4:30 a.m. According to the Coast Guard, the two people were found floating in the water by a Good Samaritan.
They were pulled from the water by Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue, brought to No Name Harbor and then transported to the emergency room at Mercy Hospital. No information was immediately available on their conditions.
There were no immediate details on what led to the accident, or how long the people had been in the water.
