News: 2 men killed when pickup truck crashes on Florida’s Turnpike
FORT PIERCE, FL – A pickup truck crash on Florida’s Turnpike in St. Lucie County Monday left two men dead, TC Palm reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said a 68-year-old man was driving a pickup in the northbound lanes of the turnpike when he lost control of the vehicle near Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce shortly before 4 p.m. The truck went off the road and overturned into a ditch.
The driver and a 55-year-old passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene. Both were residents of Parrish in Manatee County. Their names were not released.
