News: 2 killed when pickup truck crashes into canal in Belle Glade
BELLE GLADE, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a pickup truck crash in western Palm Beach County on Monday left two people dead, according to WPEC.
State troopers said the accident happened at the Sugar Farms Co-Op, a private farm near U.S. 27 in Belle Glade. The pickup with four people inside went off an access road and overturned, ending up in a canal.
Two passengers, ages 23 and 19, sustained fatal injuries. One was pronounced dead at the scene while the other died at an area hospital. The two other occupants of the truck were able to get out safely.
The FHP is trying to determine the cause of the crash.
