News: 1 dead, 2 injured following collision at Greenacres intersection
GREENACRES, FL – A car collision in Palm Beach County left one person dead and two others injured, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The accident occurred Saturday night in the vicinity of Military Trail and Lake Worth Road in Greenacres shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Investigators with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said 25-year-old Brandon Ryan of Greenacres was driving a Nissan Sentra north on Military Trail when he tried to make a turn at the intersection and entered the path of a Lexus RX350. The vehicles collided, and the impact sent them both onto a sidewalk of Military Trail.
Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus, an 80-year-old Lake Worth resident, and a passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to JFK Medical Center in Atlantis.
There was no word on whether charges will be filed in connection with the wreck.
