MSC Meraviglia Returns to South Florida after Being Denied Port Twice Due to Coronavirus Fears
A cruise ship has returned to port in South Florida after it was denied entry by two Caribbean countries due to coronavirus fears.
The MSC Meraviglia returned to Port of Miami today after both Jamaica and the Cayman Islands denied the ship entry. The countries were on high alert after they received reports that a crew member was experiencing flu-like symptoms, reports Local10.com. The ship was eventually allowed to dock at Cozumel, Mexico on Friday.
While some passengers complained that MSC could have done a better job of communicating with them during the ordeal, others said that the company did as much as it could given the circumstances.
MSC has told passengers that it will issue them a full refund.
