Mourners Remember Victims of Tragic Gainesville Area Crash
Mourners came together yesterday to remember the seven people who were killed in a horrific car crash near Gainesville this week.
The deceased victims of the crash, including five children, were members of the House of Mercy Church. They were reportedly on their way to Disney World at the time of the crash. One of the victims is said to have been the granddaughter of one of the church’s leaders.
Videos of the aftermath of the crash were posted online. Onlookers watched in horror as the van in which the victims were traveling burned on the side of the highway after apparently colliding with a tractor trailer. Periodic explosions can be heard emanating from the wreckage.
The church congregation vows to lean on their faith to help them deal with the tragedy.
