More On 10-Year-Old Boy Who Died in Sarasota Boating Accident
10-year-old Ethan Isaacs died in a boating crash over the weekend, and authorities are still looking for answers as to what went wrong.
Fox13News.com reports that Ethan was a bright boy who had recently won a STEM fair at his school. In an interview, the principal of Pine View School said that Ethan was a blossoming student with a bright future. But all of this would suddenly change over the weekend when Ethan was killed in a boating accident while participating in boating practice with Sarasota Youth Sailing.
The exact details of what went wrong are still unclear. Authorities have said that two boats collided and Ethan was on one of those boats. Apparently, Ethan fell into the water and was hit by a propeller, but authorities have not yet revealed exactly what happened after the collision that caused Ethan’s death.
Authorities have said that two other children were also injured in the collision and were treated at a local medical facility for non-life-threatening injuries.
Grief counselors were at Ethan’s school this week in order to help his schoolmates cope with their loss.
